If you are interested in taking a cooking class,

Sushi Cooking Class - Teacher Helping Students

MAKE YOUR OWN SUSHI ROLL
August 24

Techniques taught by authentic Japanese Sushi Chef Mamie Nishide. She was born and raised in Japan and came to the US to study business. After graduating from business school and a career on Wall Street, Mamie abandoned corporate life for her culinary passion.

Finishing a Culinary Arts degree from the Institute of Culinary Education (Peter Kump) she continued her training at the test kitchen for Country Living Magazine in NY and Le Bernardin, as well as top restaurants in Manhattan.


 

Mamie teaches at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York and is a frequent guest chef at Elegant Eating.

Sushi rolling mats are available for $2.00 each.

Class will prepare:

  • Appetizer Salad: Seared Sesame Seed Crusted Tuna on Greens with Cucumbers.

  • Nobu Style Ginger Dressing.

  • Special Dipping Sauces and Spicy Mayo.

New recipes to add a creative touch to your basics. This is your chance to learn to cook something new. If you are not a fan of lamb chops we will give you the chance to substitute pork chops as they will also work well with the Peach Chutney.
